The Client: The International Securities Exchange (ISE) is the world’s largest equity options exchange. After developing an innovative market structure that integrated auction market principles into an advanced screen-based trading system, ISE launched the first fully electronic US options exchange in May 2000.
The Challenge: ISE’s ERP implementation resulted in reduced productivity and dramatically increased maintenance requirements.
The Solution: For a fraction of the cost of the original implementation, Abraic consultants worked with ISE to revise business processes and take advantage of the capabilities within JD Edwards. The team managed the implementation and provided both technical and functional expertise including requirements definition, prototyping, design, configuration, custom integration. Realizing that ISE was expected to grow rapidly, Abraic took into consideration current and potential requirements.
From the Client
“Our original order process included 18 steps and took an entire day to execute. Abraic came in and re-worked it to 5 steps and a couple of hours. In the process, they eliminated a number of modifications and cut maintenance by 70%.”
